You’re welcome Jim! As you say, scales and arpeggios don’t make the music, it’s the melodies that do. I try to work on building a more melodic repertoire so your language gets more musical. T

Thank you Tim! The more of these riffs and Licks and approaches I learn the more tasteful my playing becomes.
Obviously learning scales major, minor pentatonic, minor pentatonic, blue scales, chromatic scales. All the various different chords..
They are no doubt important. But you don’t really start to hear the quality of a player until the scales and chords are turned into tasteful musical phrases. That’s exactly what I feel is going on here on your whole website. And all these wonderful ways of approaching the notes and at the same time simplifying.. my approach and playing has definitely improved on my violin. Again thank you!
